Shawn A. Grinolds

SHAWN A. GRINOLDS is admitted to practice law in all state and federal courts in North Dakota and Minnesota, and before the United States Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Shawn obtained a Bachelor of Accountancy in 1991, a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance in 1992, and a Juris Doctor, with distinction, in 1996, all from the University of North Dakota. While in law school, Shawn worked as a student researcher for Central Legal Research at the University of North Dakota from 1994 to 1995, then as the Development’s Editor for the North Dakota Law Review from 1995 to 1996. From 1996 to 2001, Shawn practiced law in Grand Forks with Caldis, Tingum & Grinolds, Ltd. He has practiced law at Smith Bakke Porsborg Schweigert since 2001.

Shawn is a member of the State Bar Association of North Dakota, the Minnesota State Bar Association, and the North Dakota Society of Certified Public Accountants. His areas of practice include property damage claims, construction law, litigation defending political subdivisions, personal injury and tort law, insurance coverage disputes, fire & property losses, employment, business, contract, probate, real estate, estate planning, and debtor/creditor law.
